Cleaning with distilled white vinegar1. Vacuum the carpet and remove any dirt and grime
Always start any cleaning process by vacuuming the carpet to remove soil, dust and dirt. If you skip this step, the dirt will settle further on the carpet.
Removing some stains such as grease, tar and pet droppings will require special care. Mother can lift it using a tool and don’t rub it.
2. Mix the vinegar and water solution
Mix the distilled white vinegar and cold water in a 1:3 ratio in a spray bottle. You will need to refill the bottle several times if you clean a lot of carpets at home.
Before starting the cleaning process, spray the vinegar solution on the carpet in a hidden place to test the color resistance carpet. Do not use this solution if you notice any discoloration.
3. Spray all over the carpet
Spray the vinegar and water solution on the carpet regularly until it is very damp, but do not until submerged in solution. Don’t get bored. Allow the solution to remain on the carpet for five minutes.
4. Wipe the carpet
Use a microfiber cloth to remove the solution and soil. Prepare a bucket of clean water to rinse the microfiber cloth. Change the water as often as possible because it gets dirty.
5. Allow the carpet to dry
Open doors and windows to increase airflow in the room or add an oscillating fan to speed up drying. Do not let anyone in the house step on it, until the carpet is completely dry. If you have to use the room when the carpet is wet, place a plastic sheet over the area to be passed to prevent stains.
