Boko Haram on the charm offensive

The terrorist group Boko Haram has taken over several communities in the state of Niger in northern Nigeria, the state government states.

The members offer villagers money and try to entice them to join the fight against the government, which has been going on since 2009 and has led to hundreds of thousands of deaths. The state government states that measures have been taken.
