Garrett Welsh shared his fitness journey with followers

Internet star, Garrett Welsh, recently took to his official Instagram account, @garrett_welsh,  and shared a compilation video of how taking the right charges has helped him immensely in his transformation journey. He begins the video by showing how he used to be previously addicted to alcohol.

In the video, he wrote his point of view, “Stuck in a victim mindset.” In the video, he started demonstrating how he put in effort, got completely clean, and started working hard on himself. He did not give up, and wrote, “I started taking accountability for my actions, and promised myself to not give up again.”

Michael Phelps’ road to recovery 

Legendary swimmer Michael Phelps, who brought home 28 different medals while representing the United States in the Olympics, shared that he too struggled with alcohol misuse throughout his life. It has significantly impacted his career and was even arrested twice for drunk driving. His arrest debarred him from competing in the USA Swimming for six months.

It was after the suspension that he started reevaluating his life. As he realized that he needed help, he enrolled himself in an inpatient treatment facility and stayed there for 45 days. He would attend Alcoholics Anonymous after getting out of rehabilitation to ensure that he did not get back to his dark days. Although he still has temptation, Phelps considers himself lucky that he managed to get out of it and still has his self-control intact.
