Khust District Court fined a teacher of Kopashnivska School UAH 850 for systematic bullying of a 1-A class student. The teacher did not come to the court hearing, but admitted her guilt in bullying the schoolgirl. The exact nature of the girl’s harassment is unknown, but the court ruling states that the teacher repeatedly used abusive words against the first-grader in the presence of other students.
According to the Khust District Court ruling, the primary school teacher Since October 2021, Tatiana B. of Kopashnivka Secondary School of I-III Grades has been systematically committing psychological bullying against a 1-A grade student. It is known that in November 2021 the teacher once again abused the girl in the presence of other students, using offensive words.
The accused teacher did not come to the court hearing, but filed a guilty plea and consideration of the case without her presence. The court took into account the teacher’s explanations, police reports and a video of the girl’s bullying at school, noting that Tatiana B.’s actions showed signs of bullying in the educational process, which may or may not have harmed the victim’s mental or physical health.
Judge of the Khust District Court Oksana Voloshchuk found the teacher guilty of committing an administrative offense under Art. 173-4 part 1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (bullying, harassment of a participant in the educational process) and obliged to pay a fine in the amount of UAH 850. The accused must also reimburse UAH 454. court fee. It is noted that the teacher can appeal the court decision within ten days.
