Sleuths from the St Andrew South Police Division have charged 39-year-old Neville Bartley, otherwise known as ‘Blackman’, a vendor of Tavares Gardens, St Andrew, following a snap raid that was conducted in the community on Thursday, February 13.
Bartley has been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorised possession of ammunition.
Reports from the Hunts Bay Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) are that about 8:30 pm, law enforcers conducted a snap raid in the Tavares Gardens community, where they searched the dwelling of Bartley and a Smith and Wesson pistol was allegedly found and seized.
Bartley was arrested and was subsequently charged after giving a caution statement.
A court date is being finalised for him.
