This Friday (1), the Convention of the Assembly of God Church of Santa Catarina decided to suspend support for the pre-candidate for the re-election of federal deputy Geovânia de Sá, president state PSDB state.
This week, she expressed support for the governor of RS, Eduardo Leite, which provoked the protest of evangelicals.
Eduardo Leite is the first openly homosexual Brazilian governor who supports the LGBT political agenda.
The suspension
The name of Geovânia had already been approved this week at the Assembly of God Convention in Santa Catarina, with the executive board and pro-politics commission.
However, a note was sent last Friday night fair to the leaders of the church:
“Given that the Convention is the Unity of the workers linked to Ciadescp, and in view of the request of a number of workers, the board of directors of the executive board of Ciadescp allows the Pro-politi Commission ca suspend the pre-referendum for the possible candidacy of Federal Deputy Geovânia de Sá.”
