In 15 African countries, at least 10% of the population had been vaccinated by the end of September, according to World Health Organization (WHO) statistics.
It was added that only two percent of the world’s coronavirus vaccines were used in Africa.
According to the WHO, the 15 countries concerned have a relatively small population and have received the vaccine on time, mainly under COVAX.
