The Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sports of the Slovak Republic, Branislav Gröhling (SaS), called for self-tests before Monday’s (January 10) entry into schools. He stated this on the social network.
“Since September 2021 “A total of 14.5 million self-tests were distributed. At the end of December 2021, 1.5 million went to the district offices at the region’s headquarters and another 1.5 million self-tests this week,” the Minister of Education explained. According to him, it is possible to request them from the school.
Gröhling noted that on the one hand, vaccination can protect people to a large extent from the difficult process. “On the other hand, the test will give us up-to-date information about the state of health and can prevent the possible spread of the virus. In this way, we can help ourselves to the safest possible environment in schools and functioning schools,” he said. However, he reiterated that the virus did not go anywhere, did not stop spreading and called for vaccination again.
After the extended winter holidays, full-time teaching in kindergartens, primary and secondary schools will start again on Monday, January 10. Schools are starting to run the so-called school traffic lights again.
