Annis Catur Adi, M.Si said, unfortunately, the habit of Indonesian people in making food, always uses herbs and spices that have a high taste. While in various herbs and spices it also contains quite a lot of sodium.

“Well, the appropriate way if our cooking already using a lot of various spices is to only add a small amount of table salt,” said Dr. Annis, through Ajinomoto’s statement.
Changing the taste of food into umami is said to make it easier for you to go on a low-salt diet. Even people in Japan have implemented this method.
“Many studies abroad, such as in Japan, show that the use of MSG can be a low-salt diet strategy. Because the sodium content in MSG is only 1/3 of the sodium content in ordinary table salt, ” he said.
