“We need to pay attention to the treatment of patients with Coronavirus, however, there are many patients who are not infected, but who are seriously ill and need treatment”, concluded Ada Dantas.
Councilwoman Ada Dantas Boabaid (PMN) is following the case of patient Josimar, 48 years old, who is diabetic, hypertensive, has severe pneumonia and suffers from heart failure. Since last Friday (10), the patient has been suffering from pain, shortness of breath and the lack of attitudes on the part of the Municipality of Porto Velho and also the Government of the State of Rondônia. The patient arrived at 3:00 am on Friday at the Emergency Care Unit of the UPA Zona Sul and only at 10:00 pm was referred to the Tropical Medicine Center of Rondônia (Cemetron), however, after waiting about an hour in the ambulance, according to the patient, the servers were not equipped with PPE, and for this reason he was taken back to the UPA. It is worth noting that the patient was regulated as suspected Coronavirus for Cemetron. Josimar was again taken to the Cemetron at 2:50 am on Saturday, where he finally received care. However, his hospitalization did not take long and he was sent home, even though he was feeling unwell, with breathing difficulties and body aches. Ada Dantas draws attention to the inertia of the state and municipal executive powers, who are not providing proper care to patients who do not have Coronavirus, but who are sick and need to be hospitalized so that they can receive treatment and be cured. “We need to pay attention to the treatment of patients with Coronavirus, however, there are many patients who are not infected, but who are seriously ill and need treatment”, concluded Ada Dantas.
