Is this Noah’s ark?
In the book of Genesis, Ararat in southeastern Turkey are the area where the ark of Noah was left after the Great Flood – an area close to Mount Tandurak. The site was originally discovered in 1959 by Turkish Army Captain Ilhan Dorofiner, who noticed the structure of the ship in aerial photographs taken by the army in the area. His discovery led to a short period of international interest in the site.
The site was later personally explored by the controversial researcher Ron Wyatt. His findings, which are indeed Noah’s Ark resting site, have led researchers, archaeologists and other scientists to examine the structure since the 1990s. The new team boasts of its findings and hopes these will force skeptics to reconsider the idea. They also plan to conduct further scans at the site and then carry out drilling and excavations until they can bring solid evidence for their claims.
