The seven-day incidence of new corona infections has increased slightly compared to the previous day. The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) gave the value on Thursday morning as 63.0.
For comparison: the previous day the value was 61.0, a week ago it was 63.1. The health authorities in Germany reported 12,150 new corona infections to the RKI within one day. A week ago the value was 10,696 infections.
67 new deaths in 24 hours
According to the new information, 67 deaths were recorded across Germany within 24 hours. A week ago there were 115 deaths. The RKI has counted 4,227,501 detected infections with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic. The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, since many infections are not detected.
The number of corona patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days was given by the RKI on Wednesday at 1.60 .
Critical value for hospitalization incidence not provided
A nationwide threshold value from when the situation can be viewed critically is not provided for the hospitalization incidence due to large regional differences, among other things . The previous maximum value was around 15.5 around Christmas time.
The number of people who died of or involving a proven infection with Sars-CoV-2 rose to 93,638.
