DPS MPs' Club: Mortgage from Montenegrin sports temporarily removed

The mortgage on Montenegrin sports has been (temporarily) withdrawn and the deadline for fulfilling the conditions set by WADA has been moved by four months. This means that our athletes will be able to compete in international competitions under the Montenegrin flag even after October 6, the Club of Deputies of the DPS of Montenegro announced.

“We remind you that the DPS, from learning about this problem, submitted an initiative to the Assembly to amend the Law on Sports in an attempt to get out of the problem created by the MPNKS. Namely, the Ministry was continuously warned about the consequences that may occur and under our serious pressure it had to withdraw certain moves that will delay our sanctions because we made it clear to them that we will not allow anyone to play with the fate of our athletes, “they said. are from that party.

They point out that they have evidence that the MPNKS carried out serious obstructions towards WADI regarding the DPS initiative, which, as they say, went so far as to insult MPs, as well as insisting that their proposal not be accepted.

“But we will talk about this on another occasion, at this moment it is important that Montenegro has no sanctions and that our athletes will be able to perform under their flag and we will use the next four months to closely monitor all the steps related to this problem to make sure that it will be resolved in the interest of our athletes “, conclude the club of DPS deputies.
