‘Edens Zero’ Director Yuuji Suzuki Dies

Following the 25th and final episode broadcast of Edens Zero on Sunday, the official website of the television anime announced that the series director Yuuji Suzuki died on September 9 in a hospital in Tokyo.

Before helming Edens Zero with chief director Shinji Ishihara, Suzuki served as an episode director on the second and final Fairy Tail seasons, Saint Seiya: Soul of Gold, Choujin Koukousei-tachi wa Isekai demo Yoyuu de Ikinuku you desu! (Choyoyu!: High School Prodigies Have It Easy Even in Another World!), and Seisen Cerberus: Ryuukoku no Fatalités (Cerberus).

Suzuki recently worked as the action director for Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu (Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy) during the Summer 2021 season.
