Emily Atack has one iconic family connection that fans may have difficulty in believing to be true.
The TV star – who turns 32 today 18 December – is related to Beatle legend Sir Paul McCartney surprisingly and spent many a holiday gathering around him growing up.
“He’s my grandma’s first cousin. To me he’s a third cousin or something like that,” Emily revealed on the Jonathan Ross Show last December.
“I’m pretty sure he doesn’t go around bragging that he’s my cousin.
“He was very close to my grandma. He was present in my childhood. He’s a family man, he’s wonderful. I remember running around in my nappy in his house.”

Emily has described Sir Paul as a “family” man who always shows “interest” in what she was doing whenever they get to catch up over the festive period.
The former I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! contestant went into further detail about her connection with cousin Paul before heading onto the ITV reality show back in 2018: “He is really big on family. These days I call him Paul, and he always takes an interest in what I am up to.
“We always used to go around to Paul’s house for his amazing New Year’s Eve parties and I was once crying on the sofa because I had this horrible, mean boyfriend. He was vile.
“Paul sat next to me and said, ‘Babe, don’t waste time loving someone who doesn’t love you’.”
Given that she is part of the family, the Inbetweeners star has also paid frequent visits to Sir Pauls’ estate – details of which she divulged about in an earlier interview.
“We used to go to his house a lot and have Sunday lunch. He’s a lovely man, a family man. He’s been very kind to us all,” Emily told Express.
“But, yes, growing up with a Beatle was pretty fun. I’ve got a great picture of me and him on my fridge, holding his pet tortoise.
“We always get VIP tickets to his concerts.”
Being distantly related to one fourth of the biggest boy band of all time has certainly brought about its perks for the TV personality – although not yet in love, as she added: “Maybe that’s how I’ll get someone to marry me one day: ‘Hey, I have VIP Paul McCartney tickets!'”
With Christmas just around the corner, perhaps Emily will be reunited with her famous cousin soon for another catch-up, more great gifts and – better yet, priceless advice for the future.
