Fitbit Unveils Its New 2022 Lineup For India

Speed to market. It’s critical in the consumer tech market, Fitbit is pulling all stops this year with its new trio of wearables, part of Fitbit’s global fall line. We had our first brush with the Fitbit Sense 2, the Versa 4 and the Inspire 3 at their India product showcase in Bengaluru this week. We’ve kept close tabs on Fitbit almost ever since their India debut with the Charge 2 back in 2015. In 2019, Google announced that it was acquiring Fitbit and we’re only slowly seeing the impact of this acquisition. The one thing we’re excited about is Google Maps on this generation of Fitbit smartwatches

Fitbit Sense 2: the first generation Sense remains one of our favourite smartwatches. It remains one of the only smartwatches in India with an ECG monitor and can also track your skin temperature variations. Fitbit likes to call this a ‘wellness’ device rather than just a pureplay fitness wearable. This year’s Sense includes a Body Response sensor, which measures cEDA for all-day stress management. Fitbit has been one of the first movers in Sleep science with heaps of data. Sleep Profile now breaks down your sleep data each month and pinpoints how you can improve your sleep based on 10 key sleep metrics.

Fitbit Versa 4: the Versa is one of the most stylish smartwatches with an array of finishes and accessories. The fourth gen Versa is thinner and lighter. At first glance, it might look similar to its predecessor but there’s a slim side button that is placed higher in and is easily accessible. This physical button has also been added to the Sense 2. The Versa 4 offers over 40 exercise modes, real-time stats, built-in GPS and Active Zone Minutes, plus Premium features like Daily Readiness Score to help you reach your activity goals – all with 6 days of battery life

Fitbit Inspire 3: this is arguably Fitbit’s toughest sell. The activity tracker market is super competitive in India with an array of options under Rs 5,000. Many of these trackers also offer wellness features like SpO2 tracking and sleep tracking that are also part of the Inspire’s pitch. Fitbit is betting on its app, overall user experience and high-quality build to convince Indian customers to pay a premium for its entry level tracker. It’s fun, easy to use and offers 10 days of battery life.

Fitbit Inspire 3

The Fitbit Sense 2 costs Rs 24,999., the Versa 4 retails at Rs 20,499 while the Inspire 3 has been launched in India at Rs 8,999
