HCB Südtirol celebrated an away win in the derby at HC Innsbruck on Tuesday. The guests took the lead very early.
After only 61 seconds, Bozen took the lead in Innsbruck. Captain Anton Bernard’s goal was preceded by a mistake on the home side’s defense. Although Nico Feldner turned away cheering in the sixth minute after the equalizer, only eleven seconds later Joe Mizzi made use of another mistake in the HCI defense to make it 2-1. In a very fair game – the first penalty was pronounced in the 39th minute – Bozen increased in the middle section: Nick Plastino (28th) met from the blue line. At the latest with a Findlay goal in the third period, the resistance of the home side was broken. Bolzano won for the fourth time in a row in Innsbruck and improved to second place.
