We sit down with the founder and CEO of Amazon Power, Americo Tognetti, to talk açaí magic, warm weather rituals and how to superpower your summer.
Talk us through the moment you decided to create Amazon Power.
It was back in 2001 while on a business trip when I realised the distinct lack of açaí and açaí products in the Australian market. I saw the passion that Australians had for healthy living and found the land Down Under to be a perfect fit for the açaí berry found in my home country of Brazil.
After three years of research and hard work, I finally introduced açaí to the Australian market in 2004. Since then, I have been spreading the word throughout Australia and teaching Australians how to eat and prepare açaí as the locals do in the streets of Brazil. Amazon Power and our exclusive supplier together are the largest buyers of açaí worldwide and, as a result, we’re able to ensure the highest quality açaí.
Tell us about the Amazon Power range.
Our product range is made with organic premium açaí. If you want a quick, healthy snack, try the 1kg tub or the 200g tub to scope it out. What is Amazon Power doing to be kind to the Earth and minimise the environmental impact of your brand?
Amazon Power is using more reusable and easier-to-recycle packaging. Also, our açaí product is Fairtrade certified, carries a For Life certification and is 100 per cent certified organic.

Surfing all day, staying at the beach and enjoy açaí bowls with my friends.
What’s next for Amazon Power in 2022?
I want to create new products with high nutritional value that complement the current product range and continue to educate people in Australia about the Amazon rainforest’s fruit diversity and its richness.
