The International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers (IANTD) announced this week it has banned its Russian licensee.

In a statement released this week, IANTD said:

“IANTD has been following the course of the Russian invasion of Ukrainian territory and, like other American and international companies, IANTD Headquarters decided in a meeting with the directors to suspend all activities with the IANTD Central & Northern Asian Licensee.”

Consequently, IANTD has taken the following actions, according to the statement:

“Removes IANTD Central & Northern Asia Licensee from the IANTD Standards.
“Removes IANTD Central & Northern Asia Licensee access to the IANTD Global Database System.
“Stop any business relationship with IANTD Central & Northern Asia Licensee.
“Stop issuing Diver Certificates and Professional Ratings.”

IANTD said dive pros in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan “should contact IANTD Headquarters to be reassigned.”
