Our Albanian brothers, with their hospitality and sincerity, made us feel like we were at home once again today. Today, we discussed our strategic partnership relations in detail with my dear friend. I hope we will hold our council meeting in the first half of this year. Our Foreign Ministers will set the date. In our meetings, we also evaluated our fight against the FETO terrorist organization. This terrorist organization attempted a failed coup against our democracy on July 15, 2016. Unfortunately, 251 people were martyred in this terrorist act, which we failed thanks to our nation’s resistance.
WE WAITING FOR STEPS AGAINST FETO
The fact that FETO can still find an area of activity in friendly and brotherly country Albania deeply saddens the families who lost their children. It is our most sincere expectation that more concrete and faster steps will be taken in Albania in the coming period. We also discussed economic relations with Mr. Prime Minister. I want to reach our target of 1 billion dollars in terms of trade in a short time. The biggest investor in Albania will be Turkey. We have an investment amount of 3.5 billion dollars.
I believe that these numbers will increase even more with the strong support of the Albanian authorities. While concluding my words, I received the requests especially at the hospital point from my dear friend during the bilateral meeting.
