Lawsuit filed against Volkswagen for using unlicensed products

The German automotive company Volkswagen was sued for using software for which it did not pay copyright. The company did not make a statement on the subject.

Computer and hardware manufacturer Acer claimed that some of Volkswagen’s vehicles produced 2 years ago used their hardware products without copyright. According to the Taiwanese manufacturer, Volkswagen is using 4G mobile chips, which Acer has patented, without permission. According to Acer, their ID.4 product is included in Volkswagen’s Atlas, Golf and a few models, although it is not licensed . Acer hopes to get the profit it deserves with the compensation lawsuit it filed in the USA. Volkswagen, which wants to examine the application first, has not yet made any statement on the subject. Volkswagen is expected to make a statement about the litigation process soon.
