Paco López has become the first coach dismissed from the Santander League . Levante has made official the dismissal of the Valencian coach after being in charge of the ‘granota’ team since March 2018.
The defeat in Mallorca , before a direct rival for permanence, has precipitated the decision and has put an end to the career of the Valencian coach this season, leaving Levante antepenultimate with four draws, four losses and no victory in these first eight league games. For now, the possible replacement for the former Levantine coach is unknown.
His position as coach, with 147 directed matches , has been marked by the achievement of several historical milestones. Paco López leads the ranking of Levantine coaches with the most victories in the First Division and has become the coach who has directed the most games in the club’s history. In addition, under his direction, Levante was able to play a semifinal of the Copa del Rey.
The coach from Silla (Valencia), after his stint at Orriols’ club as player in the 94-95 season , returned to the Granota entity in 2017 to direct the Atlético Levante UD in Third Division . After 31 days played and with the Levantine affiliate at the top of the table, Paco López was chosen in March 2018 to take charge of the first team bench, after the removal of Muñiz with the aim of achieving permanence in LaLiga Santander. Now it is the results in the absence of 30 days until the end of the season that are ahead of the Valencian coach.
