The week after the victory against Europe, the entire American Ryder Cup team took time off from the competition. Then Henrik Norlander looked to take the chance for a top place in the PGA competition in Jackson, Mississippi.
After half the competition, he was with his ten under par divided seven, but despite the Swede starting Saturday with a birdie, the day did not turn out as he had hoped. The mediocre 70 strokes for the competition, two under par, made him fall to a split 22nd place – six strokes behind the leading American Sahith Theegala.
