A misconduct hearing for a former Special Constable has concluded.

Former Special Constable Alina Patrichi-Stoian, who was attached to the East Area Basic Command Unit, was found to have breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of Discreditable Conduct and Honesty and Integrity.

On 26 September 2016, the former officer completed a MPS vetting form as part of her application to become a Special Constable.

It is alleged that when completing this vetting form the former officer did not disclose that she had previously been arrested in 2004 when she illegally entered and then attempted to leave the UK and without a valid travel document.

It is also alleged that while serving as a Metropolitan Police Special Constable, the former officer received money transfers from individuals to whom the former officer’s partner had provided counterfeit identity documents.

The legally qualified chair found the allegations proven and, had she remained a serving officer, she would have been dismissed without notice.
