Paul Merson has raved about reported Arsenal target and Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves in SportsKeeda.

The former Arsenal star believes that a lot of clubs will be after Wolves star Neves in the summer transfer window.

The London Evening Standard reported this week that Neves is a long-term target of the Gunners

The Sun claimed in February that Arsenal are keen to sign the Portugal international midfielder in the summer transfer window.

Wolves reportedly value their star player at £45 million.

Merson wrote on SportsKeeda: “Every team will be looking at Ruben Neves now – he’s a proper player.”

Ruben Neves would make Arsenal better

In our view, Neves would make Arsenal a better and stronger team in the middle of the parl.

The Portugal international is still only 24 years of age, which means that he can only get better.

Neves has been on the books of Wolves since 2017 and has been a big success in English football.

Now, of course, we know that Wolves are a big club, but Arsenal are a global brand who could end up in the Premier League top four this season.

If £45 million is what it takes to sign Neves, then, in our view, Arsenal should pay it in the summer transfer window – assuming they back in the Champions League.
