Provincial Council Member Yoon-Kyung Jeong, commemorates the 10th anniversary of placement as a career counselor in Gyeonggi-do

“Emphasize the importance of a career counselor to enhance student-tailored career and advancement design guidance”

Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly Education Planning Committee Chairperson Jeong Yun-Kyung

On the 30th, Rep. Jeong Yun-kyung, chairman of the Education Planning Committee of the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly, gave a congratulatory speech at the event to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the placement of career teachers in Gyeonggi Province by encouraging and congratulating the career counselors.

As the Ministry of Education newly established career counseling for secondary school teacher qualifications in 2011, career counselors have been assigned to middle and high schools across the country from September of that year.

Rep. Yoon-Kyung Jeong delivered a congratulatory speech, saying, “As the demand for career and academic counseling is expected to increase due to the full revision of the national curriculum in 2022 and the implementation of the high school credit system in 2025, it is necessary to strengthen the guidance on career and college design. “I hope that the career counselors will make more efforts so that students can gain insight into their potential and realize their dreams to their heart’s content.”

Meanwhile, in order to comply with the new coronavirus infection prevention guidelines, the discussion was held without on-site participation and was broadcast live online through YouTube live broadcasting.
