Dennis Rodman, the Hall of Famer and former Defensive Player of the Year once praised LeBron James and compared him to golfing legend Tiger Woods. Rodman has been an ardent supporter of ‘The King’. He has appreciated James’ greatness on multiple occasions. James will be entering his 20th year in the NBA this upcoming season. At age 37, LeBron James is arguably still going strong, and doesn’t look like stopping anytime soon.

In an interview with Graham Bensinger, Rodman talked about the numerous players he played with and against. ‘The Worm’ gave his take on the stars of the present and the stars of the past and compared the generations.

The players he mentioned were the likes of the Los Angeles Lakers legend and All-Star center Shaquille O’Neal, the late great Kobe Bryant, and many more.
Dennis Rodman compares LeBron James to Tiger Woods
The former Chicago Bulls legend and 5x NBA champion praised LeBron James while talking about the current stars of the generation. He sang high praise for the 18x All-Star Forward and compared him to another sporting icon in Tiger Woods. “LeBron is Lebron, he is like the Tiger Woods of basketball pretty much. You can’t tell him what to do, you know he is, as they call him, ‘the kid of the block’”, Rodman said.
LeBron James has been dominating the league for almost two decades now. He was drafted straight out of high school by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2003. James was featured on the cover page of Sports Illustrated as the ‘Chosen One’ at 18 years old. After joining the Cavs, he became the face of the franchise. He would stay in Cleveland for six years, earning 6x NBA All-Star appearances, 11x All-NBA and All-Defensive selections, Rookie of the Year, two NBA MVPs, and a Finals appearance. He would later sign with the Miami Heat in 2011, where he would go on to win two NBA championships with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh.
‘The King’ returned to Cleveland in 2015. After a historical performance in arguably one of the greatest comebacks in NBA Finals history, LeBron James won a title for the city that drafted him, and that too against the winningest team in NBA history, the 2016 Golden State Warriors.

LeBron James signed with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2019. Alongside fellow All-Star teammate Anthony Davis, the duo won another championship in 2020, adding four titles to James’ record.
But ever since the 2020 season, the Lakers have been struggling due to injuries and poor roster construction. James looks set to break the all-time scoring record sometime this season. The record would undoubtedly be a great addition to his already remarkable resume and likely instrumental in his argument for the GOAT debate.
