The first All-Ukrainian competitions among Cool Race students took place in Kyiv. About 80 male and female students from almost 40 higher education institutions representing 20 regions of Ukraine took part in the competition. As for military universities, the only representative here was the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sagaidachny.
As said the teacher of the Department of Physical Education, Special Physical Training and Sports of the National Academy, Major Igor Lototsky, the Cool Race competition is actually a competition to overcome obstacle courses.
– There were three of them at these starts. These strips are shorter and lighter than our usual military ones. Their length is only 50 meters and they have 6-8 obstacles, including bridges, beams, pedestals, cracks in the wall, etc., – said the officer. – The format of the competition included two stages – selection and final, which included 4 participants and 4 participants with the best time.
The National Academy and the Armed Forces in general were represented by cadets Maria Martynova and Dmitry Bondarenko. Dmytro, in fact, reached the final of the tournament, and later became its winner among men.
