According to the international survey, we see changes in five critical areas that will stay with us in the long run as the epidemic subsides. hybrid work remains, no longer an issue. The long-term effects all the more so. Globally, workers want to work at least half of their working time remotely. This will certainly improve the creation of equal opportunities, as parents with small children, people with reduced mobility or people living in disadvantaged settlements, for example, will also have better opportunities to work. On the other hand, however, it should not be forgotten that working from home strongly divides workers. This way, you can’t put the same cap on everyone, you have to pay more attention to the needs of companies that are even different from each other. It will be shorter and more flexible the new work week. It has been proven over the past year and a half that work can remain efficient even in the home office. And employees will continue to insist on the trust they have been able to share their responsibilities and free time. It is important for more than three-quarters of them to keep this own schedule in the future. In addition, more and more people are in favor of evaluating the tasks performed instead of working time. They can be done in less than 40 hours a week. However, this is still a challenge for managers, and only 36% of employees feel that their managers are already evaluating their work based on their performance. Burnout will be the next epidemic, affecting up to 4 in 10 workers. The mental health of workers, regardless of age and gender, requires increased attention. However, this is a serious challenge for leaders for the time being. Two-thirds of employees see that their leader cannot properly assess his or her mental health. Managers need to rebuild the community. While we are constantly connected to each other online, the employees have never been so disconnected. Leaders have the key to forging the workplace team together again and creating a new workplace culture. However, this is not necessarily their strength, so coaching and leadership training may be much needed in this area. A period of great rethinking may come. There are more and more warning signs that workers are re-evaluating why it is important what the workplace means to them. Security, organization, corporate culture, well-being and development opportunities remain the top five aspects, but two in five employees would switch to a more flexible workplace and more than half are dissatisfied with their current career opportunity. All of this is especially important because the majority of workers agree that companies could embark on spectacular employment expansion in the near future.
