Travis Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce, surprised her son by calling into his press conference after the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Chiefs were elated following their 42-21 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, but it seems no one was more elated than Donna Kelce.

The proud mother of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce surprised her son after the game by showing up to congratulate him — during his post-game press conference.

The press conference moderator announced that they’d go first to Donna Kelce, prompting Travis to glance around the room and say, “I’m sorry, what?”

Then Donna’s voice beamed, “Hi, it’s your mom!”

Donna expressed her elation at seeing her son throw for his first touchdown and kicked off the press conference with the following: how good did it feel to get his first passing touchdown during a playoff game?

“To finally throw a touchdown, like I used to tell my mom when I was five years old that I was gonna eventually throw a touchdown in the National Football League, I finally got it done,” Kelce replied. “It only took me nine years.”

“That’s a good question though, Mom,” Kelce added.

Donna Kelce wins as playoff mom of the season

It was fortunate that Donna Kelce was able to join the press game conference, as only she could have known how much that passing touchdown could have meant to Travis after his youthful promises.

But Donna had her own battles on Sunday, as she traveled across the country to watch both of her Super Bowl-winning sons play during Super Wild Card Weekend.

Travis’ brother, Jason Kelce, is a renowned center for the Philadelphia Eagles. Although the Eagles did not advance in the playoffs, Kelce was recently named to the Pro Bowl for the fifth time in his career. Jason Kelce was also named First-team All-Pro. Travis Kelce also won a Pro Bowl nomination this year, as well as being named Second-team All-Pro in 2021.

Despite the difficulty, Donna was able to attend both of her sons’ games in person and was even able to ask Travis about a moment that is sure to be a treasured memory for the Kelce family.
