Russian President Vladimir Putin criticised NATO’s presence in Eastern Europe on Tuesday, saying “they played us”. Speaking amid ongoing tensions over the Russian troops build-up near the Ukrainian border, Putin said Russia had been “promised” by NATO that it would “not advance its infrastructure one inch further eastwards”.
