Huawei MateBook 14s is made in a classic style without any design experiments, in fact when you look at it in its Space Gray metal case, the first association is a great resemblance to MacBook models. However, Huawei has enough details in order to maintain its own character, primarily in the form of screen shape and beautifully crafted edges of the case that cause the effect of elegant but very discreet chrome moldings on the edges of the body of this MateBook.
Apart from being undoubtedly beautiful and classically appealing, the MateBook 14s is well done in every detail. The finish deserves praise, so it undoubtedly exudes the spirit of an expensive premium device. The metal above, the metal below, the thin wedge-shaped silhouette and the weight of a little over a kilogram and 400 grams, actually say that it is a compact premium “fourteen”. So it is not a so-called “ultrabook” model, although some will easily confuse it with smaller relatives. This one is a bit more concrete and I would say it is safer to hold in your hand with the complete absence of crunchy flexible effects of twisting the case. This gives it the desired characteristic of durability, considering that you will often and gladly carry it with you, regardless of whether you set off on foot or by transport.
And smaller dimensions such as ordered for “under the arm” – it is 31.4 wide, 23 deep and slightly less than 1.7 centimeters thick. The back, ie the cover of the screen, is dominated by gray aluminum, which for a moment only interrupts the noticeable HUAWEI logo in the “electroplating” chrome finish.
