Through Disney Plus can now be seen Chapter 9 of the series “ What If …? ”, this is the last premiere of the first season. As expected, The Watcher broke his oath to unite a team of heroes to defeat Ultron (who has managed to collect the Infinity Stones).
One by one, he visits the multiverses to recruit the mighty Avengers. The first was Captain Britain and ended the list with Thor, the one who is an only child and somewhat extravagant.
However, there is a scene in which you can see Tony Stark with a powerful armor. Maybe you imagined that he would be recruited but the Watcher chose to take Gamora.
Why didn’t Tony Star was recruited?
Some theories suggest that it could possibly be because he would die in the process or that he would be too stubborn to follow his own plan . However, screenwriter AC Bradley explained that this alternate story of Stark will be saved for the second season.
In an interview with the outlet ComicBook commented the following: “d we will definitely do it. What happened to the Gamora episode, there was originally supposed to be, at the beginning of the season, an episode focusing on Tony and Gamora. However, due to COVID and production delays, one of our amazing animation houses around the world got quite affected by the pandemic. And they left us with two options: delay the entire season to the end of this year, or bring this episode to season 2. We made the decision to bring that episode into season 2, and we were hoping that seeing Gamora in the finale serves as a preview of what is to come. In the second season, it will be almost like a little prequel, we will see how Tony and Gamora became friends, because those two don’t even interact in the main MCU universe
