Сандра Неслунд спечели олимпийска титла във финала на дисциплината ски крос за жени на Зимните игри в китайската столица Пекин.
Тя триумфира пред канадката Мариел Томпсън и представителката на Германия Даниела Майер. Неслунд, за която това бе първо олимпийско злато в кариерата, донесе първи медал за страната в дисциплините при жените и общо четвърти след двата бронза на Хенрик Харлаут (Биг еър, мъже) и Йеспер Шедер (слоупстайл, мъже), и златото на Валтер Валберг (бабуни, мъже).
Неслунд прибави олимпийската титла и към двете си световни корони в Сиера Невада през 2017 и в Идре четири години по-късно. Швеция е четвърта във временното подреждане по медали със седем златни, четири сребърни и четири бронзови отличия, изоставайки само от Норвегия, Германия и САЩ.
