מנכ”ל משרד הבריאות, פרופ’ נחמן אש, אישר אמש (ד’) מתן חיסון רביעי לבני 18 ומעלה הסובלים ממחלות רקע וגורמי סיכון לתחלואה קשה בקורונה ומטפליהם, וכן לבני 18 ומעלה אשר במסגרת עיסוקם עולה אפשרות לחשיפה משמעותית למחלה. החיסון הרביעי יינתן בתנאי שחלפו ארבעה חודשים ממועד קבלת מנת החיסון השלישית.
ההחלטה התקבלה לאור נתוני משרד הבריאות על מועילות מנת החיסון הרביעית, שניתנה לאוכלוסיה מגיל 60 ומעלה, מהם עולה כי ההגנה מהדבקה משופרת פי 2 לעומת המנה השלישית וכי ישנה הגנה מתחלואה קשה של פי 5-3 לעומת המנה השלישית, וכן לנוכח היקף התחלואה הנרחב, הגורר ריבוי הדבקות, אשפוזים ותחלואה קשה.
כזכור, בתחילת השבוע צוות הטיפול במגיפות והוועדה המייעצת לקבינט הקורונה המליצו לאפשר מנה רביעית לכלל האוכלוסיה מעל גיל 18, למי שעברו חמישה חודשים ממועד החלמתו או ממועד קבלת החיסון השלישי. המלצות הצט”מ והוועדה כפופות לאישור מנכ”ל משרד הבריאות, פרופ’ אש.
