نُظمت أول بطولة احترافية متلفزة للعبة الطفولة الشهيرة “حرب الوسائد” بعدما تحولت إلى رياضة قتالية تجمع بين الملاكمة والدفاع عن النفس.
وأجريت فعاليات المنافسة بمدينة ميامي بولاية فلوريدا الأمريكية في أول نسخة من نوعها لتلك الرياضة المستمدة من هواية الأطفال، ونظمتها مجموعة أطلقت على نفسها اسم “دوري قتال الوسائد”.

وشارك في المسابقة 16 رجلا و8 نساء معظمهم معتادون على المزج بين فنون الدفاع عن النفس والملاكمة، لكن هذه المرة كانت أداة الدفاع عن النفس “وسادة”.
وتخضع هذه المسابقة لقواعد صارمة تحكم منافسات الذكور والإناث وضعتها مجموعة دوري قتال الوسائد.
وتنقسم كل منافسة إلى 3 جولات مدة كل منها دقيقتان، ويُشترط على المشاركين وضع واقي فم إلزامي. ويواجه المقاتلون بعضهم بعضا باستخدام وسادة محددة مربوطة في أيديهم.

وعلي صعيد المنافسة النسائية، فازت البرازيلية إستيلا نونيس على الأمريكية كيندال فولكر.
وشهدت المباراة النهائية للرجال فوز الأمريكي هولي تيلمان على مواطنه ماركوس بريماج.

وحصل كل فائز على حزام يُبرز حمله للقب و5 آلاف دولار.
يُذكر أن المسابقات المستمدة من لعبة حرب الوسائد انطلقت للمرة الأولى في اليابان عام 2013، لكنها لم تأخذ شكل الرياضة القتالية كما حدث في البطولة التي شهدتها فلوريدا، السبت.
وتعتمد المسابقة في اليابان على تنافس فِرق من أفراد بأعمار مختلفة ضد بعضهم من أجل الشهرة والمال.

وتتأهل الفِرق المنافِسة بعد الفوز ضمن سباقات محلية بالبقاء في قرية صيد صغيرة تدعى إيتو للتنافس ضمن بطولات الحرب بالوسائد من أجل الحصول على لقب أفضل مقاتلي الوسائد في اليابان.
