‎Health Ministry spokesperson says COVID-19 curve traces global trend, more cases expected

Ministry of Health spokesperson, Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdulaali

Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdulaali, official spokesperson of Ministry of Health, said that the COVID-19 curve traces the global trend.

He further added that a higher rise is expected, while adherence to precautionary measures might be lower, Saudi Press Agency reported.

Most of the cases that need admission in hospitals or critical care are not fully vaccinated. The booster dose is binding on recovered persons, as it hinders infection with COVID-19 variants. Pregnant women also need to get the booster dose.

Al-Abdulaali added that the long-term or permanent symptoms after infection might last for weeks or months, affirming that full vaccination protects people against long-term symptoms.
