エンブラエルは現地時間2月13日、E190-E2に特別塗装を施したデモンストレーション機「TechShark（テックシャーク）」（登録記号2-RLET）をシンガポール航空ショーの会場で初披露した。エンブラエルは航空ショーに特別塗装の機体を毎回持ち込んでおり、今回も15日に開幕するシンガポール航空ショーに向けて新たにデザインした。

テックシャークは9日にブラジルのエンブラエル本社を出発。北大西洋のグラン・カナリア島、地中海のマルタ島、中東のドバイを経由し、12日にシンガポールのチャンギ国際空港へ到着した。
機体はノルウェーの地域航空会社ヴィデロー航空（WIF/WF）がエンブラエルからのリース導入で運航していたもので、当時の登録記号はLN-WEX。現在はエンブラエルのデモ機として、英国王室の属領ガーンジー島籍で登録されている。ヴィデロー航空は2018年4月24日に、E190-E2による世界初の定期便を運航した。
E190-E2は、3機種で構成する次世代リージョナルジェット機「E2シリーズ」のうち、最初に実用化した機体で、2018年4月から納入を始めた。従来のエンブラエル170（E170）とE175、E190、E195で構成する「Eジェット」の後継機で、E175-E2とE190-E2、E195-E2からなる。新型エンジンや新設計の主翼、主脚の格納した際のドアなどで、燃費を向上させた。E190-E2のメーカー標準座席数は1クラス106席、2クラス97席となる。
シンガポール航空ショーは偶数年の2月開催。前回2020年は新型コロナウイルス感染症（COVID-19）の感染が世界的に拡大し始めたころに開かれ、出展を取り止めたり展示規模を縮小する企業も多く見られた。
