9-year-old boy controls the start of a fire, then discovers his dead father

A barely believable story was reported by our colleagues from Ouest France . This Sunday, October 3, around 1:40 a.m., a fire broke out in a family home in La Baule. Inside, a Nantes father and his three children aged 6, 9 and 12. A muffled noise first wakes the 9-year-old boy, who sees the fire on the landing, near the stairs, begins to contain it with a glass of water. A few minutes later, her twelve-year-old sister wakes up in her turn, it is then that she discovers the body of her father in the stairwell. Despite the rapid arrival of help, warned by the young girl, the man was declared dead at 2:15 a.m. After this extremely traumatic morning, the children were taken care of by their mother, who remained in Nantes, who came in disaster to pick them up. In addition, an investigation was opened by the La Baule police station to determine the causes of the fire.
