Подобно на Христо Иванов и Корнелия Нинова, които също подадоха оставки след лошите резултати на изборите през ноември, Атанас Атанасов беше преизбран за председател на “Демократи за Силна България” (ДСБ). Това решиха днес делегатите по време на 17-ото Национално събрание на партията.
Общо гласуваха 490 души, 288 от тях подкрепиха Атанасов, а 199 – Цецка Бачкова.
Всички ние заедно трябва да бъдем последователни в това да укрепваме нашето обединение, защото това носи резултат за десните хора”, заяви Атанасов след преизбирането му.
Припомняме, че лидерските кандидатури бяха две – на Атанас Атанасов и на неговият заместник Цецка Бачкова. Евродепутатът Радан Кънев се отказа от участие в битката за председателския пост. Той не присъства на днешното заседание тъй като е под карантина в Брюксел.
