This is how the Premier League table currently looks ahead on Wednesday 23 February 2022:
When analysing the info above, the Premier League form table now makes for VERY interesting reading.
Newcastle United one of only three Premier League clubs that haven’t lost any of their most recent six PL matches.
Eddie Howe’s team sixth in the Premier League form table with 12 points from the last possible 18. Newcastle United scoring eight goals and conceding only four in these half dozen matches.
In contrast, Brentford are rock bottom of the Premier League form table, with just that solitary point from a possible 18. As for goals, Thomas Frank’s side have scored only three but conceded a sizeable twelve.
Brentford started the season with twelve points from their opening seven games, yet they have only added another twelve in the nineteen PL games that have followed. Only three wins in those last nineteen Brentford matches.
In contrast, with 12 points from their last six matches, Eddie Howe and his players have the momentum and confidence flowing, with now the time to build on that and get to safety sooner rather than later.
Ahead of the weekend’s games, there are some rearranged postponed matches, all three involving clubs battling relegation. Wednesday seeing Burnley v Spurs, Watford v Crystal Palace and Liverpool v Leeds. Needless to say, here’s hoping for a trio of results to go NUFC’s way in those games, especially when it comes to giving no encouragement to Burnley and / or Watford.
