F1 Mexican Grand Prix: Time, schedule, TV channel, streaming for Formula 1 race week

After securing his 13th race win of the season at the United States Grand Prix last time out, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen will look to make history at the 2022 Mexican Grand Prix this weekend.

Now level with German duo Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel for number of race wins in a single F1 season, Verstappen, who starts Sunday’s race on pole, will be looking to add another victory to his impressive haul and break the record.

But it’s never that easy in Formula One as the back-to-back world champion nearly found out the hard way in Austin. A lengthy pit stop cost him the lead of the race but, with six laps to go, the Dutchman snuck past Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton to take the chequered flag.

Verstappen has also won three of the past four races in Mexico City but there’ll still be plenty of challengers this weekend, not least his team-mate Sergio Perez, who would dearly love to win his home grand prix.

Ferrari pair Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will also be lurking in the shadows, as too will Mercedes duo Hamilton and George Russell, who now seem to have a far more competitive car in terms of raw pace compared to the start of the season.
