From the Sacsayhuamán architectural complex, the Minister of Women and Vulnerable Populations, Anahí Durand, participated in the launch of the second agrarian reform, an activity headed by the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, and highlighted the role played by the women in promoting agriculture in the country.
The minister expressed her joy at being a participant in the launch of this second agrarian reform, which also means an opportunity to vindicate peasant women whose only source of income is agriculture.
“This second agrarian reform must have the face of women, especially women like you, peasant women, Quechua speakers, who work the land, who preserve our ancestral knowledge, our seeds”
It is worth mentioning that, to strengthen the work of women in agriculture, the second agrarian reform will implement different actions such as allocating resources to the development of rural women, promoting the delivery of credits to women in family farming, encourage associativity, food security and sovereignty of families.
In addition to promoting a fair market in the public and private sector for the commercialization of the production of women, promote the titling and recognition of women’s land ownership and defend water and common goods for agricultural use.
For his part, the Minister of Agrarian Development and Irrigation, Víctor Maita, provided information ion of the nine axes that the second inclusive agrarian reform will contemplate and that seeks to involve the voice of farmers, through their union representatives.
“With the second agrarian reform a participatory process is born that will provide opportunities to more than two million Peruvians, and will value our production,” he said.
In this activity carried out in Cusco, the head of the Ministerial Cabinet, Guido Bellido; the Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, Víctor Maita; the Minister of Development and Social Inclusion, Dina Baluarte; the Minister of Culture, Ciro Gálvez; Congressmen of the Republic, regional authorities and popular organizations of the agrarian field.
