MEF supports changes to curb unfair competition from imported food

The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) supports the changes to curb unfair competition from imported food, highlighted today the head of the sector, Pedro Francke.

He also mentioned that the Second Agrarian Reform that was launched today implies supporting family farming, which provides food to the population every day.

“From the MEF we support changes to curb unfair competition from imported food, improving the price range in a technical way to protect national agriculture,” he indicated through his Twitter account.

He also emphasized that the Second Agrarian Reform is not expropriation but inclusion.

“More market for our producers with public food purchases of more than 600 million soles per year in the next three years and investments in producer markets in the country’s provinces,” he said.

Minister Francke indicated that the Second Agrarian Reform consists in making the agrarian markets work better.

“From the MEF we are resolutely supporting the agrarian reactivation with a line of credit of 600 million soles via AgroPerú, the support to FAE-Agro. We will promote an agricultural development bank ”, he pointed out.

The # SegundaReformaAgraria implies supporting our family farming, which feeds us every day. From the MEF we support changes to curb unfair competition from imported food, improving the price range in a technical way to protect national agriculture 1/3
