This Super Rugged Off-Road Camper Has a Suprisingly Luxe Interior

If you’re of the opinion that all camping trailers look the same, you’ve obviously never seen a Bruder. The Australian-based company makes rugged military-like camping vehicles that can take on the toughest terrain in all seasons. Simply put, Bruders are pure beasts.

In true Bruder fashion, the brand’s newest model—the Bruder EXP-8 Off-Road Camper—is tough on the outside, but it’s more like a luxury hotel on the inside.

The exterior is built to be rugged, featuring a durable composite shell and a patented wheel suspension system boasting 37-inch off-road tires. The Bruder EXP-8 is good for all-season travel in even the most remote locations. Seriously, if this thing can’t get there, nothing will.

The interior, however, sleeps four in a modern, minimalistic style. With a roomy bed at the back and ample storage, the white-and-gray interior has all the necessities, from a toilet to a kitchen to a cooktop.

“With its distinctive proportions and appearance, the new EXP-8 has toughness at its core whilst its interior embraces the essence of adventure without sacrificing luxury and sophistication,” the brand’s description reads.

A solar panel on the roof helps power the Bruder EXP-8, including the electric, air conditioning, air filtration system, and an integrated water purification system.

The Bruder EXP-8 trailer reportedly costs a cool $117,000—and though Bruder doesn’t currently have any U.S. dealers, the brand does ship its rugged-meets-luxe trailers to the U.S. for an additional fee. And really, what’s a couple thousand more when you’re already dropping $117,000 on a trailer?
