Rohit is only 147 runs short of reaching the landmark of 4000 runs in the shortest format of international cricket

Currently, only 2 cricketers have scored 4000 runs in T20Is (Men and Women) – Virat Kohli and Suzie Bates

Rohit has a chance to achieve the feat in the upcoming T20I series against Afghanistan, staring January 11

Rohit has scored 3853 runs from 148 matches at an average of 31.32 and a strike-rate of 139.24

The 36-year-old Rohit is also one of the 3 batters to have scored 4 hundreds in T20Is

Rohit last played T20Is for India back in the T20 World Cup semis against England at the Adelaide Oval

Rohit will be looking to regain his shape before the T20 World Cup to be played later this year
