Car salesman burn down his colleague’s Lamborghini Gallardo sports car during a dispute on commission.
The perpetrator and the Lamborghini Gallardo owner are reportedly used car salesmen in India.
They were reportedly meeting to resolve a dispute in connection with the sale of a car in the past.
A car salesman is reportedly on the run after setting his colleague’s Lamborghini Gallardo sports car ablaze following a business dispute on Saturday April 13th in Hyderabad’s Pahadi Shareef area.
Footage of the incident, which has now gone viral on social media, shows the engulfed Lamborghini Gallardo sports car by the roadway as onlookers watch in astonishment.
Per The Times Of India (TOI) report, the perpetrator, named Ahmed, and the owner of the yellow Lamborghini, named Neeraj, are used car salesmen, and they were meeting to resolve a past dispute.
According to Neeraj, who filed a complaint with the local police, their discussions led to an argument which escalated and allegedly led to the Ahmed setting the Lamborghini on fire.
“Both the victim and accused are into the business of car re-sale. On the issue of sharing commission in connection with the sale of a car in the past, there is a dispute between the two,” Pahadishareef inspector, Guruva Reddy, told TOI.
Fire department officials said that one fire truck was sent to the spot to douse the fire, though the Lamborghini was completely burnt down before help could come its way.
Released under parent company Audi, Lamborghini built Gallardo from 2003 to 2013, meaning the only Gallardo sports car you will be able to buy now will be a ‘pre-owned’ one.
The V10 powered Gallardo has been Lamborghini’s sales leader, with 14,022 built throughout its production run. Gallardo, which succeeded the Lamborghini Jalpa, was replaced by the Huracán in 2014.
