Bryson DeChambeau won his second US Open title with an incredible finish on the 18th hole at Pinehurst No. 2.
DeChambeau set up the tournament-winning par putt with a fantastic third shot out of the bunker on the 18th hole.

He finished off the victory with the par on the 18th to avoid a playoff against Rory McIlroy, who missed a few crucial putts at the end of the final round.

McIlroy bogeyed three of the final four holes to drop into second place. Patrick Cantlay and Tony Finau landed in a tie for third, while Matthieu Pavon completed the top five.

DeChambeau and McIlroy dueled for the entire back nine on Sunday.
McIlroy got as high as eight-under following a string of four birdies in five holes from the No. 9 to No. 13 holes.
DeChambeau looked to be in trouble after a bogey on the 12th hole, but he rallied for a birdie on the 13th hole.
After that, the drama escalated at Pinehurst No. 2. DeChambeau and McIlroy each missed short par putts on the 15th hole, but that is where the mistakes seemed to end for the eventual US Open champion.
McIlroy’s run of errors on the green continued on the 16th and 18th hole with bogeys. His second-to-last putt of the event cost him a chance to win his first major title in a decade.
DeChambeau still had work to do on the 18th hole to avoid a playoff. His drive did not hit the fairway and his second shot went into the bunker.
He rallied from the mistakes to hit one of the shots of his life to set up the tournament-winning par putt.
DeChambeau’s final round score of 71 was actually his worst of the week, but he did enough over 18 holes to fend off all the other challengers.
Patrick Cantlay tied his best major finish with a tie for third with Tony Finau. Cantlay’s other tie for third came at the 2019 PGA Championship. Finau earned his second-ever top three major finish and his first top-five major placing since the 2020 PGA Championship.
Pavon earned his first-ever top-five finish at a major. He previously finished 12th at the Masters in April.
