The edition of Fantástico, of Rede Globo, this Sunday (3), interviewed, with exclusivity, three doctors who denounced threats by Prevent Senior management to use the “Kit Covid” to patients infected with coronavirus. The medications in question are not effective against the disease.
George Joppert, his wife Andressa Joppert and Walter Corrêa, said that, today, they feel fear, apprehension and insecurity, later of the complaints against the operator become public.
In the interview, everyone reaffirmed the pressure they received for the prescription of the kit. They also confirmed that the goal imposed by Prevent was for doctors to see 60 patients for each 12-hour shift in hospitals.

Doctors reported that, in 2020, there was a lot of pressure from Prevent Senior for them to prescribe the kit, which was distributed to the plan’s clients at the time of the consultations.
They stated that there was no autonomy for physicians to decide or not to prescribe these drugs during the pandemic. “They were keeping an eye on who prescribed and who didn’t. It was something that they had control over, so there wasn’t this autonomy”, said Corrêa.
“I delivered the prescription, delivered the kit that was already in the office. It was all controlled. I kept a bucket with a bunch of bags with the kits, it was kind of embarrassing at times, I gave the patients the prescription with a kit and told them ‘look, we have to prescribe, but better to use only the vitamins, don’t use medication’. And that’s how it worked”, he added.
“It is a contraindication for the use of hydroxychloroquine. Even in the Prevent protocol itself, it is a contraindication. So, even with that contraindication, I was advised. It would have to prescribe, but I didn’t. And I was called to attention”, said Andressa.
Asked about what could happen to the doctor who did not prescribe the ineffective medicines, she said: “He would have a punishment. He would be without the shifts for a week, two weeks, depending on what he did. His punishment would be this: he wouldn’t have his money planned at the end of the month.”
“There was no need for a threat to be made to the doctors. The hostile environment did that by itself. We already knew that there is a suggestion for a protocol, if you don’t follow it, you will suffer sanctions. The most that happened was for someone to prescribe and guide not to use it”, declared Corrêa, who worked for eight years as an emergency room attendant at Prevent Senior.
He was fired in February 2021 and he believes that the reason for the dismissal was precisely because he failed to prescribe the kit.
“Despite having been there for a long time, I think I never adapted very well to the practices of Prevent Senior. It’s curious until I stayed for so long, but I think the last straw was at the end, the issue of not prescribing the kit”, he reported.

Last Tuesday (28), in testimony at CPI of the Genocide, the lawyer Bruna Morato stated that the “pact” signed between Prevent Senior and the “parallel cabinet” set up in the Jair Bolsonaro government during the Covid-19 pandemic provided for the absence of inspection of the experiments carried out by the network.
Bruna had already detailed the plot involving the Ministry of Economy, the so-called “parallel cabinet” and Prevent Senior to advance in experiments with hydroxychloroquine with the aim of boycotting social isolation.
The lawyer pointed out the existence of a kind of “protection” by the Bolsonaro government to network.
“The information I had is that, once this pact, or alliance, has been made. a, among this group of advisers that the CPI calls “parallel office”, but which, at the time, were only advisers, is that after this contact, certain security was transferred to him”, he stated.
