Epic Games Store Introduces New Achievement System Allows you to hunt for trophies in Rocket League, Hades and Kena: Bridge of Spirits, among others.
Epic Games Store introduces a new layer of functionality next week, in the form of a new Achievement system. Players can now hunt for trophies in various games, and earn experience points that they can show to their friends. The Epic Games Store gets Achievements. Picture: Epic Games Via their websites Epic reports that the store has collaborated with several developers to put in place trophies, just like the ones you earn on Steam, PlayStation or Xbox. At launch, the program entices with challenges and trophies for games such as Rocket League, Hades and Kena: Bridge of Spirits, and even more will be introduced before the end of the year.
Achivements are ranked in four categories. Bronze gives 5-45 experience points, 50-95 points for silver, 100-200 for gold, while the platinum trophies are worth 250 experience points. Everything is gathered in one common Achievement page in the store, where you see what you have unlocked, what remains and which trophies you are close to unlocking. Games will also display available trophies on their individual store pages. It must be said that Achievements is not a whole new thing for the Epic Games Store. Developers have had the opportunity to offer trophies in their games, but this will be a more organized and common offer from Epic. The store points out that the “developer achievements” that have been unlocked until now will not disappear, and all progress will be transferred to the new system. inside Sony has apparently started to try out PlayStation 5 games
